Laurent Niddam

Laurent Niddam is an arbitration lawyer and independent arbitrator specializing in the settlement of international commercial disputes, investment protection and sport arbitration. He is a member of the Tribunal of the Fédération Equestre Internationale and of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Mr. Niddam is an adjunct professor teaching graduate and post-graduate (LL.M.) courses on international arbitration, investment protection, international commercial law and the law of international contracts. He is also a member of the Faculty of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Mr. Niddam has a practice of more than 20 years in Central and Eastern Europe. He acted as transaction counsel, litigator and arbitrator in mergers & acquisitions, large commercial transactions and privatizations, in a varied and broad range of industries, including public utilities, banking and pharmaceuticals. Mr. Niddam is also regularly solicited to brief (informally) domestic and foreign business and political actors on ethics, transparency and corruption related issues.
Mr. Niddam is admitted to practice in New York and Paris. He graduated from the law schools of Columbia University (New York) and Pantheon-Assas University (Paris), and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He enjoys horseback riding, jazz and classical music.
